So what should I name this one?
Hmm...I see Arabic tiles...
geometric patterns and flowers...
and very bright pinks and oranges.
I googled Arabic words for flowers and found Zahra...
a girl's name of Arabic origin meaning bright, beautiful flower.
Perfect.
Meet Zahra.
Today was sunny, so I was pleased to take Zahra outdoors for a photo.
After taking about 30 (my usual number so that I will get at least one good one), I was happy with the colors in none of them.
So I waited until the sun went down behind the fence to try again.
About 30 more pictures later...again, poor color results. The Lesson Zahra Taught Me
You are looking at my best attempt.
Zahra has beautiful pinks and oranges that this picture does not show.
But worse than a poor picture...here is the real disaster.
Because it was a very windy day, and the quilt hung for several hours until the sun went down, the edges became very. badly. frayed.
So badly that I will have to trim 1/4" from all! of the edges!
I will try again another day to get a better photo...but...
I will never let an unfinished quilt hang in the wind again. Ever.
