Cottage Lane began with Country Lane, a Sherri McDonnell pattern, and the fabric collection named Whitewashed Cottage by 3 Sisters. Although I am not necessarily a shabby chic-ish style gal... which is the vibe this quilt has going... and neither do I plan to put borders on it... I am satisfied with the layout and look. I am going to call it Cottage Lane. The blocks are all finished. On with the rows. There were no borders to add to the medallion of my Voices quilt this month. However, there was plenty of cutting and other block assembly to get ready for borders in the months to come. I did not know that I liked Shoo Fly blocks until I made these seven.
Now they are my new favorite. Two quilts came home last week and are now bound. First is Mesmerize. Second is Monkey Wrench. Thank you, Tammy!
Are there foxes in Santa Fe? I didn't see any, but I did see this... This quilt shop was not the reason I traveled to New Mexico last week. Not at all. Yet there it was, and I walked out with eleventeen more yards of fabric. Play time! Santa Fe Foxes
Meadow Blossom is a quilt for my sister C whose favorite color is green. Her home is a perfect fit. Meadow Blossom photographed so well in her beautiful home that perhaps I will take more of my quilts there for their photo shoots. I think so. The pattern is by Joanna Figueroa of Fig Tree Quilt Company. You can find it in her book titled With Fabric &Thread. This is a quilt I will make again someday, I like it that much! Meadow Blossom 461 pieces 74" x74" And now for some coffee with C, my dear sister.
